A Tablespoon a Day Could Keep the Doctor Away!

We’ve all heard the saying “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!’ and you’re probably thinking what does that have to do with olive oil.

Olive oil has the potential to provide health benefits, even in small amounts. It contains antioxidants in the form of vitamin E and beneficial properties that are mostly found in plant-based products. It is also one of the top sources of monounsaturated fats that can help lower cholesterol and prevent inflammation. Your body needs natural fats from your diet, and 1 or 2 tablespoons of olive oil each day meets that daily intake.

Lets break down 2 tablespoons:

2 milligrams of Vitamin E – neutralizes free radicals before they damage and destroy fat cells (keeps nerves working and combining with proteins to safely carry cholesterol through your bloodstream)

8 micrograms of Vitamin K – makes blood clot, but you also need vitamin K to maintain bone strength.

14 grams of Unsaturated Fat – contains oleic acid, monounsaturated fats help keep your heart healthy by fighting inflammation, increasing levels of good cholesterol and lowering bad and total cholesterol. The FDA approved consuming 2 tablespoons daily may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

Polyphenols – antioxidants that fight inflammation and help lower blood pressure, polyphenols protect lipoproteins that carry cholesterol through your bloodstream (they release the cholesterol and then it can stick to artery walls and form plaques that block blood flow).

Now your probably going to ask how is our oil different from what you can get at the grocery store. The answer: our 1 and only ingredient is Olive Oil. When we say our oil is just olive oil, we mean it.
